it was a good time and some fine racing for us 250's nice payouts too we didnt quite have 20 cars but the mains paid out 800 bucks per nite based on 18 cars, which is better than its ever been...maybe next year
yeah i think a few of us have had issues in the past with getting the run around when it comes to the payout...dont get me wrong its a fantastic track..but i think it would sell us out of staters a little better if we had a solid payout to look forward to. When we made the trip two years ago we were told there was a 2500 dollar to win and that turned into 1200 and then into 800..after burning a motor up in the heat and coming from the back of the b to finish eighth in the A main i ended up with 50 dollars..three weeks later..like i said your track is awesome and i would like to come down next year..just thought it would be better if there was some kind of assurance that what you advertise is what you get..maybe things have changed since last time we made the trip. well maybe next year...usually the problem with the 250's is we can never find a sponsor, oh sure they will jump all over the 600's but not us, mick ran a different program this year and i liked it. he ran 3 complete nites 2 hts and a main each nite and after the main sunday afternoon he ran the feature main for the turkey bowl so it was alot of racing but after each main if the cars count would have reached 20 the pay out would have been 1000 to win 750 for 2nd and 500 for 3rd and he didnt pay any deeper than 3rd each nite but we only had abut 18 cars so the payout was adjusted accordingly i think it ended up being 800 for 1st 500 for 2nd and 400 for 3rd so all in all it wasnt bad and i think he did the same for the sunday finaly, as some of you know the rules have changed here for us at delta and i think many came loaded for bear, so there was a better deal than yall had last time and we 250's hope to see yall come back, i know may of us want to come up there and race but there is no more clay cup but still just the same i have friends up in the everett area and i plan on coming for a visit and a race nite one of my buddies wants to come also so we'll see some of you next season probly around dirt cup time
i will tell them hello for you...I was speaking for them and myself so...yeah would like to see ya come up this way as for my cousins the Omans I hear they may run a 250 here and there next year..as far as traveling south i doubt it..im running six hundreds now and was thinkin bout heading down depending on the dates and if they conflict with the best of the west tour..thanks JR Thomas 96t
