Thunderbowl WOO event cancelled

Tulare, California February 21, 2008The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series event scheduled for this weekend at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway has been cancelled due to the bleak weather forecast. 

Track officials spoke with the National Weather Service and based what they had to say, the decision was made to cancel the entire weekend to save everyone from driving down only to get rained out. World of Outlaw officials were also wanting a decision by today, since many of the teams are waiting in Phoenix where the series will compete next weekend. 

The next event for the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway will be March 29 when the Golden State Challenge King of California Series and Western States Modifieds share the bill for an exiciting night of action.

Na don't think so we were down in Cali Thursday when we got the call at 8:11am  and Tony Veneziano and Peter Murphy comferened it when they called

I was in Cali last week

I was in the snow and rain we left last Wednesday for the race

Thurnderbowl Race track ticket manger called us at 8:11am and told us the race wasnt happening

WoO PR Director Tony Veneziano called and told us the race wasnt happening even talked with WoO Race director about it

Even friends that knew we where there called; Peter M called and said it; Steve Jones called and siad the same thing

Press Release never came out till we where half ways home
