An update on Isaac Abenroth after his first Deming rollover.
Isaac took a pretty hard tumble in his Jr Sprint last night when he tangled with Tanner Hopke.
First off, I would like to commend and congratulate the Deming Speedway emergency/safety staff. There are numerous people in 'my camp' who feel the same way. Excellent, immediate, and perfect care, a top shelf crew, many people said so, and I say thanks.
Isaac was transported to St. Joseph's in Bellingham after complaining of head and neck pain and some tingling in his neck. He has no evidence of spinal injury, and is doing well. He was released from the hospital at midnight and will have the normal soreness associated with a hard crash.
I'd like to offer a very special thanks to the Deming staff for doing their jobs so perfectly. Another thanks to Mr. Resch for his help. A third thanks goes to Barry Martinez for helping our driver and crew get the car faster. And last but not least, thanks to Jeff Cress for delivering the car for us since we are also racing quarter midgets in Canada this weekend. Isaac won't be racing now but his younger brother Caleb will.
I didn't get much of a chance to talk with the Hopke's, but I hope Tanner is doing okay today as well.
Starla was recording Isaac on video last night, so hopefully she caught this one on tape, although I'm quite sure my wife Jada (Isaac's mom) won't be too thrilled about watching it.
Glad to see everything is okay, keep your head up Issac, Derrick was sure worried about you as well as the rest of the Moss family. Get rested and come back blazing!!! Take care of yourself and god bless! 3D Racing
In Langley, Isaac has decided to race after all. He will have to start in the back of the lowest main since he didn't make the decision in time to run heat races, but it's nice to see his enthusiasm to race return so quickly.
