If you go through me I can probably help by coordinating it for you or working with NPS to see if they can help you with Shipping.  (Shipping for your cylinder head generally costs less than $30 UPS Ground and they will ship it back to you for free).

Headwork, including full race porting, does not have to cost you $1500.  You can get it all done for a little over $1000 and if you just need a serdi valve job you can get that for a little over $500.

Also, I've seen on Odum's website where you can send in your stock R6 ECU and he will send you a "hotbox" for either 6 or 10% over current rev limit for around $250.
