PMP Chassis & Jerrod Wilson WIN TULSA SHOOTOUT!!!


Skiatook, Oklahoma's Jerrod Wilson wins his 1st ever Tulsa Shootout Multi A-Main Event Golden Driller. This is the second big race in a row for Wilson in his 2007 PMP 600. The 22nd Tulsa Shootout had a record 459 Micros. The PMP cars/drivers were well represented and did a great job. The following is a summary of PMP heat winners, transfer winners, and A-Main drivers.

In the Jr. Sprint class Cody Key (CA) was the lone PMP entry and finished 4th in the Main Event.

The Restricted "A" Class had 73 entries. Heat race wins went to Zach Zimmerly (OR), Justin Sanders (CA), and Raio Morgan (CA). Zimmerly finished 2nd in the A-Main, Sanders 5th, Morgan 8th, Cody Key 19th, Carlie Baker (CA) 22nd, and Sammy Wright (WA) finished 23rd.

Non-Wing "A" Class had 123 entries putting it at the 2nd largest class. Picking up heat race wins were Ryan Bernal (CA), and Stan Yockey (CA). Yockey also won the B-Main and A-Main Qualifier. Yockey started 17th in the A-Feature and worked his way up to 4th place in 20 laps. Brandon Carey (CA) finished 8th and Bernal 9th. Young Outlaw Kart star Tyler Reddick (CA) made his debut in both the non-wing and winged "A" class. Reddick did a great job wheeling around a 600 for the first time.

"A" Class had 110 cars. Logan Forler (WA), and Cory Eliason (CA) picked up heat race wins. B-Feature winners were TJ Smith (CA) and Zach Zimmerly (OR). Forler finished 6th in the A-Feature, Eliason 19th, and Smith 20th.

The headlining Multi class had 130 cars. Stan Yockey (CA), Jerrod Wilson (OK), and Andrew Peters (IN) were the 8 lap heat race winners. Wilson won the one of the 10 lap qualifing races. Wes Gutierrez (CA) won E-Feature #1, Ryan Guyett (IL) won D-Feature #2, Jonathon Hendrick (IN) won C-Feature #1, and Yockey won C-Feature #2. In the A-Feature, Wilson (3rd starting) made the winning pass on lap 17 and never looked back. Peters rounded out the top 5. Brandon Carey took home 7th; new PMP driver Andrew Elson (IN) was 19th, and Henrick 22nd.
