MOTOR RULES


ARE THERE ANY MOTOR RULES SET IN STONE YET I HAVE HERD RUMORS ABOUT A DEMING ONLY TYP MOTOR. IS IT GOING TO BE A FULL MULTI MOTOR WHERE THE CAL GUYS CAN RUN THERE STUFF? AND IS THERE CHANGES BEING MADE TO THE RESTRICTOR MOTORS ARE THEY STAYING STOCK

 IF IT IS IN STONE CAN WE GET A LIST OF WHAT IS ALLOWED SO WE CAN GET GOING ON REBUILD AND SOME DYNO WORK

6.2       Terms and Conditions- Showroom stock parts, original manufacturer parts for the particular year and make engine.  No mixing of internal parts from different year and make engines, even if made by the same manufacturer.  No factory performance or race parts.Engine- Four cylinders, 600cc engines with a model manufacture year of 2005 or earlier.  Showroom stock engines with charging system intact.  Valve job allowed provided they are within manufactures tolerance. May use any values, but they may be no larger than stock.  Must meet OEM specs. No titanium. No engine work or blue printing (ported heads, lightened cranks, Cams do not need to be stock, but lift duration must be no greater than stock lightened pistons, etc...) .012" max head and block clean up allowed. Rods, pistons, cams, cam gears, etc... must be stock parts used on motorcycyle the engine came from. Cam, cam gears, bolts and/or retainers must remain stock. Redrilling, slotting, grinding, alterations in any manner is illegal. Stock CDI/Black box must remain show room stock. No modifications internal or external. No external adjustments. Powercommander can be used on fuel injected motors. After market timing advancers are legal. Internal charging system components must remain in motor and functional. All motors max RPM 15,300.  Any head gasket may be used.  No traction control devices allowed. CAM LIFT:

6.3       Ignition- Engines that came with stock fuel injection may use after market add on to adjust the fuel curve and timing (essentially the same as adjusting jetting and using ignition advancer).  Ignition advancers may be used.6.4       Induction System- No forced induction (turbo charging, super charging).  Any carburetors may be used.  If the engine came with factory injection, the fuel injection may be used and may be converted for use with alcohol.  The stock fuel injection throttle body must remain, but may be modified for use with alcohol.6.5       Exhaust- Any muffler max 90  DBA6.6       Charging System- the original charging system may not be removed, and must remain in complete working order. No cut out switches.6.7       Car must be self-starting at the beginning of the race or it will be sent to the back of the field.6.8       Fuel- Methanol only.
