RE: Pace Chassis views on Deming Speedway

okay, let me say this to ALL of you. I didn't race clay cup this year, i had a prior engagment. I was on the east coast at a wedding, which i know may sound lame to most of you, but they were pretty important people to the drs team. in fact, they both sat in the stands two years ago in april when i RACED the NIGHT before my wedding. i had many phone calls about the things that went on, and i understand. most of you that know who i am know that i am a little prone to temper tantrums, myself, and so be it. and i was black flagged at last year's clay cup because of said anger magement issues, and that happens to us drivers and it is a part of our sport, good and bad. quit whining. it's like a speeding ticket. everybody does it, you got caught. the important part is that at deming we are all kind of like a family, and if you don't believe that, wreck a racecar here. once that happens it doesn't seem to mattter what "team" you are on, everybody is fixing on your car, trying to help you out. we are also pretty protective of our own (sumo) but give us the respect we deserve and we'll help you to the end if you are out of town. if you don't....it's the cheap seats. So what i have to say is this...
1. Paul and Bev provide us with the best track in the northwest, and I think a lot of us racers and fans take that for granted. Go watch or race somewhere else...and you decide.
2. We have hands down the best drivers in the states racing here. It's a tough track. Tight quarters. And we kick ass, week after week...wonder why that is...funny, most of our drvers go on and do great things....hmmm.
3. from what i've heard, and witnessed at skagit....do not under any circumstances....f**ck with sumo!
Most importantly...congartulations to brock and reece for showing the out of towners the way around our track!!
and if anyone has an issue with what i say...come see me I drive the 15 car in the 600 class.

Clay cup is an amazing race and i wish i could have brought my car this year.
I worked on Brad "cheeseburger" Hannums car thurs and fri night. And Stan Yockey's car sat night.

Thurs night everything seemed like it ran good and i was very excited to be there
But going on Fri night was not so fun. We were sent to the back for jumping the start on the pole?? i was told that the you can go when the flags drops...ok fine with that. But i think i speak for all california drivers when i say this...All of the calls were accurate in my eyes. Maybe some close calls but hey thats racing.
My problem and along with other people is you have to be consistent with your calls. i did not see fair officiating on fri and sat night for any drivers. People are going to run into eachother on that race track. We made a long trip and made alot of new friends. But when you come to a racetrack and the home drivers think that the officiating is B*S then there are some issues. It is all said and done now, but i think the bottom line is, if you make a call on any driver, you call it same for everyone, hometown or not. i didnt see this. Hope to see you guys at the Super 600 Nats in Visalia. Alot of Washington drivers have alot of talent and i would love to see how the can compete with us. Your track and the whole clay cup event is great, very tight, very fast and close racing. Visalia and Lemoore are much more wide and you can race someone within 3 inches all the way around the race track without having to check up(to a point). Its fast and fun. Hope to see you there.
