We frequently will do fundraising at the track for such things as Autism etc... and I think these are very worthwhile efforts that give much needed help to extremely good causes and in turn reflects well on the both Deming Speedway and the people that race!
Would there be any interest out there in having a night where we donate our 50/50 to Juvenile Diabetes and do a helmet walk to raise money for this worthy cause.
I am not afflicted by this nor is anyone in my immediate family with the exception of my mother but I know of at least three people at Deming who race or participate that are affected by Diabetes.
Diabetes, especially as a juvenile, can be extremely challenging and difficult to control but diabetes is also one disease that holds a lot of promise for both a cure and for making living with this disease much easier.
Please post or contact me if you would be for having a Juvenile Diabetes Night at Deming Speedway and I will see what I can do to help make this thing come together!

Kelly I think this is a great idea. I think we should pick a night in September since we had the relay for life in July and Autism awareness night is coming up on August 13th. Brandy
Perfect! Please get with me Brandy or call me (360) 661-6284 so we can figure out a night and what I need to do. I would volunteer the idea of having it Sept 10th because that is the night that I am scheduled to do the 50/50 sales.
Thanks for the support and offer to help Brandon I will take you guys up on it for sure.
In the meantime I am going to start communicating with the NW Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to make sure it is acceptable to them, (I don't see how it couldn't be).
What do we need to do at the NWMSA club level to have this happen? Some may not be for giving up a night of 50/50 etc..

Obviously there are many causes that are close to all of us. We have a nephew that was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at 13 and we are happy to report that he is getting married this coming weekend in his late 20's and is enjoying a great life.
We will offer to have our 4 junior drivers do the helmet walk through the stands on that evening and will ask the rest of the Jrs to participate on the night that you decide. Please let us know what you would like to do and we will make it happen from our end.
Thank you all for providing a great environment.
Best Wishes,
Dave, D'Arcy, Kyle, Tristin, Eli, Lynden and the Team
I will talk it over with the Prez, Treasurer and VP and see what we can make happen. I think this is a very worthy cause, as I see the affects of diabetes every day at work. Great idea Mauk!
