We are very excited about the Salem series this winter, but we would like to express one concern. As a lot of the restricted micros come from Washington/Canada it is hard to get off work/school early enough on a Friday to get to Oregon to be there early Saturday morning to run the day show. Not to mention you're adding another night of hotel costs to many families already high bill for the weekend. Waking up at 2 in the morning to drive down isn't really a great option either. I'm just afraid that you're restricted micro count will suffer, so I was hoping to get an understanding as to why the restricted's have been moved. They always seemed to work well with the night race and always put on a good show. It would be much appreciated by the restricted micro drivers and families if the restricted micro's could run in the night show like they always have. We really want to come and be a part of your series but with these new changes we're not sure if it's going to work out. Please take our thoughts into your consideration. Thanks Heather. :)
I did put a lot of consideration into this change and I know it will make it more difficult for some of you. My problem is that the night show has been getting so many cars and I am anticipating even more this year which means that something has to be moved to the day show. The restricted micro class is the smallest class and is considered a beginner class which is why it is the class that will be moved. I hope that you will still be able to make it to some of the races. Remember camping at the track is always a less expensive option to a motel room. I hope that you realize it is impossible to make everyone happy and that we do the best we can to make it work for everyone involved!
