Outlaw Cage Karts at Deming Speedway

To all the fans, racers, track officials and especially Paul Lemley, thanks again for letting us race at your outstanding facility this past weekend. I think we gave you a decent show on Saturday that demonstrates we race as hard as anybody - just on a smaller scale. All of the fans and fellow drivers were completely gracious, inquisitive and did some great bench racing afterwards, which is a big part of why we do this. I think we made a new fan or two, which is just as important as any apsect of this sport. I hope we get to do more racing at Deming in 2012, and we will be sure to bring more karts and drivers if we do!

If anyone out there is interested in looking more closely at this class of racing, most of us will be racing indoors during the winter at Salem, OR beginning at the end of October. We normally have 20-kart fields at these races, plus there are 4 "lower" (but no less exciting) classes for developing drivers from age 5 and up.

If anyone out there is interested in actually racing a cage kart, e-mail me at nicknels@hotmail.com and I can point you in the right direction to get started. Don't worry, I'm not selling anything!

Anyways, thanks again, and have a great off-season!

Nick Nelson
