The dawn of a new season is always exciting, particularly for teams debuting brand new race cars. Schmidt Racing is one of those teams in 2013, having assembled 3 cars over the winter, including a brand new car for the youngest member of the family. Eli Schmidt made all of their hard work pay off early, with a victory in the 600 Restricted division at Deming Speedway on Sunday Afternoon in the Spar Powered XXX. The afternoon got even better later on, with Elis older brother Chase picking up a win in the open division in his Spar Powered car. The wins were the only time in recent memory at Deming where siblings have won both divisions of 600 racing.
