So I just received a phone call from Robin down at the Best of the West series and he asked that I catch people up on what they are experiencing down there as I type this....
HUGE thunder-lightning storm with huge rain and lots of wind. He reported that the cars were outside the trailors (because crews are seeking refuge in the trailors) and were moving all over the place. The gigantic lightning strikes were making contact right above and around them as they gathered in their trailors
That was all I could hear before Robin decided to hang up the phone before he got struck by lightning. Anyways, I was asked to post this for anyone interested so there's the info. If Robin updates me on the situation, I'll add on as the info comes in.
the rain subsided, however the water that was present on the track last night was reported to be "up to Brock's knees" after the rain. Tonight's racing has been cancelled.
They will try racing Sunday morning at 11:00. I am also informed that last night and today's cancellations are the first two cancelled nights in 8 years!
