**CLUB UPDATE**


                 HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!!!!!!!


Here's an update from the Dec/Jan club meetings,


2007 Club Officers- Pres- Doug Brown


                           VP- Kevin Benson


                           Treas- Brandy Bloodgood


                           Sec- Robin Cully


Greviance Committee/Class Reps- JR Sprint- Kevin Peterson & Joe Morris


                                              250- Brandon Thomas & Brandon Turner


                                              600- Mike Henrickson & Brian Andrews


                                              1200- Dave Holmwood & Jason Bloodgood


Rules Update- No Major changes, mainly housekeeping, the following are more noteworthy:


                 - General rule changes include: " Once a car is qualified for a night or event, no


                   switching cars or drivers"


                 - 1200 class: 1000cc weight 925#


                         -Clarifications to the "Pre 2000 model year motors ( see 2007 rule


                           book section 5.11 thru 5.12h)


                           - Stock working charging system. No cut out switches.


                  - 600 class: 600 Restricted weight 725#


                            - 600 Stock 775#


                            - The original charging system may not be removed and must remain


                               in working order. No cut out switches.


                             - No in ****pit adjustments, exception for a brake bias valve.


                   -250 class: 250 weight 620#


                               - 250 rules frozen for the 2007, 2008 & 2009 seasons.


                   -JR Sprint class: Approved Engines


                               - 9.16a There will be continued research and development for a


                                 competitive four stroke engine program.


                                -The 100cc Yamaha KT100-S must use the RLV exhaust pipe kit


                                  #7430 and the air box kit #0300(red) or #0301(black). Replacement


                                  air filters for the air boxes are #0200 - 0202. The exhaust pipe will


                                   be held with springs, not hose clamps. Loose or missing exhaust will


                                   result in disqualification. The KT-100-S will conform to the IKF


                                   specifcation sheets.


This is a brief rundown of some of the rule changes.  Consult the 2007 Northwest Mini Sprint Assc. rule book for the "actual" changes. 2007 rule books should be avaliable by the Feb6th club meeting.

                                 Reno, NV 1200 class $5000(tentitive) to win


                                               600 class $2500(tentitive) to win


                                 Bullhead City, AZ 1200 class $5000(tentitive) to win


                                                600 class $2500(tentitive) to win


Several club cars have made the long trip to race the indoor winter season @ Salem, OR. Any


updates from thier trips would would be GREAT!!!! See you all @ the next club meeting (Feb. 6)

775 for stock weight? If you had it at 750 you could run up and down the coast at the same weight.  But 775 is 25lbs heavier than anywhere else in the country?
